ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, with a liberal arts degree and a desire to see the world.   I became a travel agent and did just that.

For twenty years I enjoyed my hobby of photojournalism, shooting lions in Kenya, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul and Machu Picchu at sunrise until I began to feel I had more to offer.

I returned to college to earn a degree in elementary education at Wayne State University and embarked on an even more wonderful, fulfilling period.

As a middle school science teacher, I became aware of students who struggled to comprehend the material.  I then acquired my Master of Education, and, employed by Detroit Public Schools, spent another twenty years with children in first through sixth grade, empowering them with the skills needed to both find delight in reading and gather information.

It is my pride and joy to combine my love of travel and adventure with the beautiful genre of picture books.  Hopefully my journey from writer to self published author will inspire others.

My books can be found on the website of your favorite independent book store, Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
